1. Program Aims
The major is aimed to foster socialist Builders and successors featuring an all-round development in morality, intelligence and physique, who possess eminent moral, cultural, phsical and mental qualities . The program is designed to equip students with both basic knowledge and application ability of vehicle design, manufacturing, maintenance and testing. The graduates will be qualified to work in enterprises, institutions of higher learning, and research institutes, engaging in design, manufacturing, scientific and technology development, applied research, operational management and marketing in related areas.
2. Program Requirement
Students should master the basic theories and knowledge of modern vehicle design and manufacturing, as well as the methodology of mechanism's design, manufacturing and inspection. Students will be trained as modern mechanical engineers, which enables them to specialize in vehicle design, manufacturing, testing, inspection and operational management related to vehicle engineering.
The graduates should obtain some knowledge and abilities as follows:
（1） Be equipped with solid basic knowledge in natural science, sound humanities social science foundation, the ability of scientific writing, the ability to apply foreign language and computer;
（2） Have broad and solid basic theory, professional theory and professional skill, mainly including Mechanics, Electrical and Electronic Technology, Mechanism Manufacture Basis, Computer Technology, Hydraulic Transmission and Control Technology, Automobile Structure, Theories and Design of Engineering Vehicles, Vehicle Detection and Maintenance Technology;
(3) Have a good master of mechanical drawing and computer drawing, as well as the ability of calculation, experiment conduction, testing and dealing with practical engineering;
(4) Master the specialist knowledge, know the technology frontier and development tendency and have the ability of analysis and solving practical question in vehical engineering;
(5)Have the ability to design, manufacturing, maintenance, failure analysis,organizational and managing;
(6)Have the ability to studying independently, innovating new ideas and a highly comprehensive quality.
