Prof.Yueh-Jaw Lin Gave Lectures in School of Mechanical Engineering
Prof.Yueh-Jaw Lin, the dean of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC), was invited by School of Mechanical Engineering to teach one of the professional courses of "Introduction to Computer Numberical Control (CNC)" to the Class of 2012 majoring in electromechanical engineering and automation on October 25, 2015.
Prof.Yueh-Jaw Lin is a well-known expert of mechanical engineering and automation engineering and a menber of ASME, IEEE, ASEE, SME. Meanwhile, he is also one of the Editorial Board members of a variety of professional journals and a council member of international professional conference, and serves as a technical consultant for many international companies. Besides, Prof.Yueh-Jaw Lin also worked in University of Texas at Tyler as the Head of Department of Engineering and in January 2014, he is appointed the dean of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC).
With years of work experience and heuristic teaching idea, Professor Lin adopted advanced teaching methods and intensive interactive teaching mode in the class. The key content of machining technology had carried on simple explanation, and good teaching effect was achieved. Dr. Ji Yunguang was arranged by School of Mechanical Engineering as Professor Lin's assistant to work with him, and teachers of the School listened to the calss.
Professor Lin visited the Demonstration Center of Hebei Province of Rapid Manufacturing National Engineering Research Center after class and expressed his expectation of further cooperation in the field of rapid manufacturing of auto parts. Moreover, he had an informal discussion with teachers and students about scientific research, open education, undergraduate education, etc.
