Dr. Wu Hongwei coming from University of the West of Scotland of England came to our school to teach specialized courses

From December 18, 2014 to December 27, Mechanical Engineering invited Dr. Wu Hongwei coming from University of the West of Scotland of England to teach basic course "Heat Transfer" for our 2012 students of Process Equipment and Control Engineering and Energy and Power Engineering.
Dr. Wu Hongwei graduated from Northern Aeronautical Science and Engineering in 1998, and received a bachelor's degree in engineering and cryogenic refrigeration technology, In the same year he was admitted to Energy and Power Engineering graduate, and studied PhD in advance in 2000 (co-culture by Northern and HKUST), In June 2004, he received a doctorate in Northern Engineering Thermal Physics. From September 2004 to March 2007, he did postdoctoral research on heat and mass transfer and multiphase flow in porous media at the University of British Columbia and the University of Alberta. From 2009 to 2013, he studied Research Fellow at Brunelleschi University, UK and University of Birmingham. From 2013, he has taught at the University of the West of Scotland Britain, the main areas of research are heat of engine rotating parts, porous media, microchannel flow and heat transfer and so on. He has published more than 50 articles in academic journals and conferences at home and abroad.
In order to improve teaching effectiveness, Mechanical Engineering designated a full-time teacher as assistant, urged the students to listen carefully, and organized examination, and the results included in the total of Heat Transfer Course.Further, all young teachers of the power engineering organizations, all graduate of chemical process machinery attended lectures. Through courses, students' English listening and speaking ability has been increased, and the professional vocabulary is enriched.
After the lectures, Dr. Wu Hongwei and Mechanical College teachers and students also had a depth discussion on scientific research, open education, and undergraduate teaching and so on.
